Assignment for Friday, August 30
1) Read and take careful notes on Twain's "On the Decay of the Art of Lying." It's not that long.

2) Type up and bring to class a short answer to this question: Is Twain right about lying, and what makes you think so? (Single spaced, less than a full page.)
3) Plan for printer failure. Get it done and finished early. As you know from the syllabus, I won't accept late assignments. And they are worth points on your final grade.
4) Also, make a careful note of the address of this blog. I will post information and announcements here, and we'll use it to comment and share thoughts.
